PUBLIC NOTICE RESOLUTION #2026-016 TOWN OF BETHLEHEM RESOLUTION AND PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Bethlehem in the County of Albany, State of New York has on the 8th day of April 2026, duly adopted, subject to a permissive referendum, a resolution as follows: WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Bethlehem has determined that it is necessary to purchase the following piece of equipment for the Department of Public Works, Field Operations Division: Ford F-550 dump truck; and WHEREAS, this vehicle will replace a 2013 Ford F-550 dump truck due to age and condition; and WHEREAS, this vehicle is necessary for the DPW Field Operations Division to conduct Sewer Collection maintenance and repair tasks; and WHEREAS, in recognition of these needs, the purchase of this vehicle was identified in the Capital Spending Plan; and WHEREAS, a capital spending project is necessary and, funds for such purpose are in the Sewer Fund Capital Reserve Fund; and, WHEREAS, it is estimated that the cost of said project will not exceed $100,667.72. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the execution of the necessary purchase of a new Ford F-550 dump truck by expending funds from the Sewer Fund Capital Reserves Fund; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the execution of said expenditure is subject to permissive referendum; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Supervisor is hereby authorized to execute the expenditure on behalf of the Town of Bethlehem. A motion to adopt the resolution was offered by Councilmember Becker, seconded by Councilmember Cunningham and adopted by the following vote: AYES: Supervisor VanLuven, Councilmember Becker, Councilmember Cunningham, Councilmember DeCancio and Councilmember Schnurr NOES: none ABSENT: none DATED: April 8, 2026
