Public meeting for various site plan reviews and special use permits in Auburn.

Planning Board May 5, 2026

Notice is hereby given that a public meeting will be held by the City of Auburn Planning Board on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. in Council Chambers at Memorial City Hall, 24 South Street, Auburn NY 13021.




The Planning Board may consider the following requests:




 1.  Tabled - Major Site Plan Review at 30 Cottage St. for proposed construction of three open-air covered lumber storage structures and one office showroom, parking, lighting and landscaping improvements for Builders Choice. Applicant: Jonathan Geherin



2. Tabled - Special Use Permit Review of 10 Osborne St. for proposed demolition of the existing financial institution and redevelopment of the site with a new approximately 1,900 square-foot building. Proposed improvements include a two-lane drive through with ATM access, pedestrian sidewalks, parking reconfiguration, and landscaping improvements. Applicant: Jeff Ashline, Canandaigua National Bank



3. Presentation of Major Site Plan Review of 132-134 & 138 Grant Ave for Major Site Plan Review of proposed demolition of 2 vacant two-story homes and construction of a four-story, 89 rooms (~13,335 sf footprint) TownPlace Suites by Marriott. Applicant: Indus Hospitality Group, Inc., John Ott



4. Presentation of Special Use Permit & Public Hearing of 22 Genesee for proposed façade and internal renovations to convert a vacant mixed-use building into a structure offering commercial space and 13 residential studio apartments. Applicant: Joseph Bartolotta



5. Presentation of Major Site Plan Review of 281 Grant Ave for proposed demolition of existing structure and construction of a new ~4,620 sf restaurant with drive-thru, outdoor patio, lighting, landscaping and parking design. Applicant: Zach Middlebrooks, Chick-fil-A, Inc


6. Presentation of Major Site Plan Review of 143 & 147 North St., 23 Perrine St., and 1 West Park Ave. for the proposed demolition of existing structures, consolidation of all four parcels, and construction of a new three-story Auburn Community Hospital Health Campus. The proposed building will have a ~30,700 sf footprint and will provide office space, patient access, and support services associated with the Auburn Medical Center. Site improvements include parking, landscaping, and utility connections. Applicant: Andrew Bodewes, Park Grove Realty LLC, Auburn Memorial Hospital.
