GREENE COUNTY PUBLIC NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT AND PUBLIC HEARING Every year the Catskill Housing Authority (CHA) receives a Capital Fund Program (CFP) grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). CFP grants are used by CHA to perform physical and management improvements, as well as, pay for general operating expenses. This year's CHA 2026 CFP grant award will be approximately $305,000. To obtain access to the grant funds CHA must conduct a statutory 45-day public comment period, and hold a public hearing subsequent to the comment period. CHA must also provide HUD various documents referred to as grant submission documents. CHA residents and the general public are entitled to review and comment on the CFP grant submission process and documents during the 45 calendar day comment period. The review and comment period for the 2026 CFP grant submission documents begins Wednesday, March 11, 2026 and ends on Friday, April 24, 2026. The documents are available for review at the CHA administrative office, located at 32 Bronson Street, during the hours of 9:00am to 4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Instructions for submitting comments are available at the CHA office. A Public hearing on the CFP annual grant is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. in the CHA Community Room at 32 Bronson Street, Catskill, NY 12414. It is your right and privilege to submit written comments on the above item(s) or to attend the public hearing to express your views, or both. Any written comments to be reported at the public hearing should be received in the CHA administrative office no later than 4:00pm April 24, 2026.
