Resolution to finance fire engine and equipment for Pembroke Fire District.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE:

The resolution published herewith, adopted on March 4, 2026 by the Pembroke Fire District board of fire commissioners, and approved by the voters of the Pembroke Fire District on the 7th day of April, 2026, may be hereafter contested only if such obligations were authorized for an object or purpose for which the Pembroke Fire District is not authorized to expend money or if the provisions of law which should have been complied with as of the date of publication of this notice were not substantially complied with, and an action, suit or proceeding contesting such validity is commenced within twenty (20) days after the date of publication of this notice, or such obligations were authorized in violation of the provisions of the constitution.

The purpose of the resolution is to authorize the financing of an Engine with affiliated equipment, in sufficient amounts for use of the Fire District, plus acquisition costs, with the maximum anticipated cost respectively of $900,000 utilizing a statutory installment bond or serial bond plus bond anticipation notes as necessary or an installment purchase agreement in an amount up to the above amounts, and by using up to $200,000 from a capital reserve account. The resolutions adopted by the voters were as follows:

RESOLUTION NO. 1

RESOLUTION FOR FINANCING OF AN ENGINE

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE PEMBROKE FIRE DISTRICT, IN THE TOWN OF PEMBROKE, GENESEE COUNTY, NEW YORK (THE “DISTRICT”), AUTHORIZING THE FINANCING OF AN ENGINE AND RELATED EQUIPMENT, THE MAXIMUM COST OF WHICH IS ANTICIPATED TO BE $900,000; APPROPRIATING SAID AMOUNT THEREFORE; AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCING BY ISSUANCE OF A SERIAL BOND OR STATUTORY INSTALLMENT BOND, UP TO TWENTY (20) YEARS FOR THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF $900,000 PRINCIPAL, AND TO UTILIZE VEHICLE CAPITAL RESERVE FUNDS UP TO $200,000.
