NOTICE IS HEREBY GIV- EN that the Board of Education of the North Greenbush

Common

School District will hold a Budget Hearing at the North Greenbush Com- mon School District Of- fice, 49 North Greenbush Road, Troy, New York 12180 on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 5:15pm, prevailing time, for the purpose of discussion of the expenditure of funds and the budget- ing thereof proposed by the Board of Education for the school year July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027. NOTICE IS GIVEN that a copy of the statement of the amount of money which may be required for the following year for school purposes, exclusive public money, may be obtained by any resident in the District at the District Office, 49 North Greenbush Road , Troy, New York 12180 during the 14 days im- mediately preceding the annual budget vote and election, between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm prevailing time, other than Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday, together with the text of any res- olution to be presented to the voters. A copy of the detailed statement of estimated expendi- tures will also be made available at the BUD- GET HEARING to be held May 6, 2026. NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Annual Vote upon appropriation of the necessary funds to meet the estimated ex- penditures for school purposes for the 2026- 2027 school year and the election of members of the Board of Educa- tion and any other busi- ness that may legally come before this meet- ing will take place on May 19, 2026, between the hours of 2:00pm and 8:00pm, prevailing time, at the Little Red School House, 49 North Green- bush Road, Troy, New York, 12180. NOTICE IS GIVEN that petitions nominating candidates for the of- fice of members of the Board of Education must be filed with the Clerk of the District at 49 North Greenbush Road, Troy, NY 12180 between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm, prevailing time, and no later than Monday, April 20, 2026, by 3:00pm. The following vacancy is to be filled by the Board of Education: Three-year term (2026- 2029) Last incumbent: Douglas Dukes Can- didates for office of member of the Board of Education shall be nom- inated by petition and each petition must be filed with the Clerk of the District, and shall be signed by at least twen- ty-five (25) qualified voters of the District. The petition shall state the residence of each signer and shall state the name and residence of the candidate. Peti- tions are available be- ginning March 11, 2026, in the District Office. NOTICE IS GIVEN that Applications for Absen- tee Ballots may be ap- plied for at the District Office beginning April 1, 2026. The completed Application must be re- ceived by the District Clerk no later than May 12, 2026, 2026, at 3:00pm, prevailing time. Ab- sentee Ballots must be received in the District Office no later than 3:00pm, prevailing time, on May 19, 2026. Quali- fied voters, who meet the criteria for "perma- nently disabled" and are so certified by Rens- selaer County Board of Elections, will receive paper ballots by mail. A list of all persons to whom Absentee Ballots shall have been issued will be available for inspection in the of- fice of the District Clerk on each of the five (5) days prior to the date of the Annual Meeting and Election between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm, prevailing time, weekdays, and such list will also be posted at the polling place at the Annual Meeting and Election of the mem- bers of the Board of Education.
