LEGAL NOTICE PUBLIC NOTICE PURSUANT TO §506 and §526 OF NYS REAL PROPERTY TAX LAW Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Esopus, Ulster County, will complete the Tentative 2026 As- sessment Roll on May 1, 2026. A copy will be filed with the Town Clerk and available in the Asses- sor's Office at Esopus Town Hall for public re- view. It may be exam- ined by any interested person until the fourth Tuesday in May. The Assessor will be available to review the Tentative Assessment Roll and answer ques- tions on the following dates: Tuesday, May 5, 2026 - 2:00 PM-4:00 PM and 5:00 PM–7:00 PM Thursday, May 14, 2026 2:00 PM-4:00 PM and - 5:00 PM–7:00 PM Saturday, May 16, 2026 10:00 AM-12:00 PM - The Board of Assess- ment Review will meet on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Esopus Town Hall in Ulster Park, New York, between the hours of 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, and 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM, to hear complaints from property owners who believe their prop- erty assessment is in- correct. If you wish to file a grievance, you must submit Form RP-524 (Complaint on Real Property Assessment). The form may be com- pleted by the property owner or by a represen- tative or attorney. Before appearing be- fore the Board of As- Review, re- sessment residents are strongly encouraged to view the publication "Contesting Your As- sessment in New York State," available on the New York State Depart- ment of Taxation and Finance website under Real Property Tax.
