NASSAU COUNTY PUBLIC NOTICE PUBLIC NOTICE The Nassau County Department of Health is seeking to contract with individuals and agencies to provide preschool services for the Preschool Special Education Program through August 31, 2030. This is in accordance with Section 4410 of the New York State Education Law for children ages 3-5 with special needs who require special education services recommended by the school districts’ Committee on Preschool Special Education. Services sought include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language therapy, social work, nursing, teacher of the visually impaired, teacher of the deaf/hard of hearing and teacher aides/assistants. Qualified individuals must possess a New York State license or certification, have experience servicing children in their profession, and be able to provide services to preschoolers in various settings on Long Island.
