BROOKFIELD CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID The Board of Education of the Brookfield Central School District invites bids for Building Reconstruction at the Brookfield Central School located in Brookfield, NY. Separate sealed bids for General Construction, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical Work will be received at the office of the District Clerk, Brookfield Central School located at 1910 Fairground Road, Brookfield, NY 13314 until 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidding Documents may be examined at the office of the Architect, James Jordan Associates, 66 Main Street, PO Box 111, Richfield Springs, NY 13439-0111; telephone: 315 858-8000, fax: 315 858-0755. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Architect’s office upon deposit of $100 for each set. Checks shall be made payable to James Jordan Associates. Any qualified Bidder, upon returning their set in good condition within 30 days after the award of Contract, will be refunded its deposit for the initial set in full. Any Nonbidder, upon returning their set, will be refunded $50. Prospective Bidders may obtain more than one set and will be refunded $50 for each additional set returned. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference and on-site review of the Project areas will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2026, beginning at the District Office, 1910 Fairground Road, Brookfield, NY 13314. For the convenience of prospective Bidders, Subcontractors, and material suppliers, Bid Documents will also be on file at the following: Associated Building Contractors, 15 Belden Street, Binghamton, NY 13903-2159 Eastern Contractors Association, Inc., 6 Airline Drive, Albany, NY 12205-1095 Syracuse Builders Exchange, 6563 Ridings Road, Suite 2, Syracuse, NY 13206-1855 Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the Owner’s sales tax exemption, the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. Bids shall be prepared as set forth in the “Instructions to Bidders,” enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on its face the name and address of the Bidder and the title of the Work to which the enclosed Bid relates. Each Bidder shall deposit with its Bid, security in an amount no less than 5% of the Base Bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the “Instructions to Bidders”. No Bidder may withdraw its Bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
