Lexington Township Invitation For Sealed Bids INVITATION FOR BIDS Sealed bids for the Lexington Township 2026 PAVING/ROADWAY PROJECT will be received at the Lexington Township Office, 14555 Gaskill Drive NE, Alliance, Ohio until 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May20, 2026 and will be publicly opened on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 9:00 AM Bid envelopes shall be marked: "2026 PAVING/ROADWAY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT" On and after April 30, 2026, copies of specifications and bid forms may be obtained from the Lexington Township Office, 14555 Gaskill Drive NE, Alliance, Ohio 44601. (Phone 330-823-7627 or lextwp@sbcglobal.net). Each bid shall be accompanied by a proper certificate by corporations not chartered in Ohio, testifying that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of (1) a certified check, or cashier's check, or letter of credit, equal to 10% of the bid, or (2) a bid guaranty bond for the full amount of the bid; both forms of guaranties as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the project specifications. Each bid shall be in conformity with the Ohio Revised Code and all bids and certificates shall be upon the forms furnished with the specincadons. All bld proposals shall be delivered to the office of the Lexingtonm Township Trustees at or prior to the date and hour specified for receiving bids. Work shall be subject to the prevailing wage rates established by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations and work performed in accordance with ODOT Specifications. Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Work shall not begin prior to authorization in writing by the Board of Lexington Township Trustees. Work shall be completed within Thirty (30) Calendar Days of receiving the written Notice To Proceed from the Board of Lexington Township Trustees. The Lexington Township Trustees reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to decrease or omit any item or items, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept any bid or combination of bids which is deemed most favorable to the Township at the time and under the conditions stipulated. The Board of Lexington Township Trustees further declare that they will award the contract for this project to the lowest and best bid, which may not necessarily be the lowest bid. The Specifications contain a Bidder's Profile and Best Bid Criteria designed to gather certain information that may be considered in this regard. No single factor will control the Board's decision to award, and the Board reserves the right to exercise its full discretion.
