CITY OF RAVENNA LEGAL NOTICE Sealed paper bids or bids submitted electronically through Bid Express will be received until 11:00 a.m. Ohio time on May 21, 2026 at the Mayor's office at 210 Parkway in Ravenna and will then be opened and read for: King Street Water, Sewer and Sidewalks. The proposed work under this Contract consists of approximately 712 lineal feet of new 8”sewer main with manholes and laterals, 1056 lineal feet of 8” and 6” water line replacement with new valves, hydrants, and services, and 3875 square feet of sidewalk replacement. The estimated cost for this project is $890,685. Copies of Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be examined at the office of the City Engineer, 530 North Freedom Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266 but will not be available to purchase at this office. Contract documents are available at: https://www.bidexpress.com/businesses/54074/home. Registration with Bid Express is free and allows for the Bidder to review, download, and print all contract documents. A digital ID along with a per bid fee or a monthly subscription will be required for the Bidder to submit an electronic bid. Electronic bids can only be submitted through Bid Express and must be electronically endorsed by the Bidder. Bid surety furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety in an amount as allowed by Treasury Circular 570. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Portage County and the City of Ravenna, Ohio, as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614-644-2239.
