Public Notice Advertisement for Bids Bids will be received by the Office of the City Engineer of the City of Urbana, Ohio until 2:00 p.m. Eastern time, Tuesday, March 27, 2026 for the citys 2026 Crack Sealing Program in accord with the bidding documents available for download at Bid Express webpage: https://www.bidexpress.com/businesses/101329 /home. Bids will ONLY be received and accepted via the online electronic bid services through www.bidexpress.com (Bid # 26-03). The electronic bid opening will be held in the Training Room of the Urbana Municipal Building at 205 South Main Street, Urbana, OH 43078. The Engineers Estimate for the Base Bid is $72,500.00. This work consists of crack sealing existing streets at various locations within the City of Urbana. The Engineers Estimate for the Additive Bid is $26,000.00 for crack sealing at Grimes Municipal Airport Runway. Bidders shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary in the cost of their bid to complete the project Bids shall be submitted electronically with either a Bid Guaranty Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount or by a certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the Bid amount, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening thereof. Project completion date shall be Friday, August 28, 2026. The contractor and all subcontractors shall pay employees on the project the prevailing wages established by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Labor and Worker Safety, including all updates, and shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code. The current Prevailing Wage Rate Schedule is included in the bid documents. The City of Urbana, Ohio in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, hereby notifies all prospective bidders that they will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to any bid invitation issued by the city and that all bidders will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, low-income status, or limited English proficiency in consideration for an award.
