LEGAL NOTICE The following are summaries of ordinances adopted by Canton City Council on Jan. 12, 2026. The complete text of the ordinances may be obtained for 10 cents per page or viewed free at the office of the Clerk of Council in City Hall, 218 Cleve. Ave. S.W., Canton, Ohio 44702, during non-holiday weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Ordinance No. 7/2026 Ordinance No. 10/2024 is amended to establish the Classification Plan for the Service Director's Water Reclamation Facility Management and Non-Bargaining Unit Personnel employed by the city of Canton as shown in Ex. A of the ordinance. Adopted as an emergency. Ordinance No. 8/2026 The Mayor or Service Director is authorized to enter into Change Order No. 9 with Standard Plumbing and Heating Co. in an amount not to exceed $5,695.42 for the Civic Center Infrastructure Improvements Project. Appropriation Ord. No. 243/2025 is amended by making the supplemental appropriation of $6,000 from the Unappropriated Balance of 2175 Comprehensive Plan Implement Fund. The Auditor is authorized to pay all moral obligations related to these change orders. Adopted as an emergency. The foregoing summaries of ordinances adopted by Council on Jan. 12, 2026, were prepared and approved by the Law Director to ensure legal accuracy and sufficiency per the requirements of the Ohio Revised Code.
