18FBLEGAL NOTICE Sealed bids are invited and will be received by the Administration of the City of Geneva, Ashtabula County, Ohio at the Municipal Building, 44 North Forest Street, Geneva, Ohio 44041 until 12:00 p.m. (noon), Local Time on Thursday, February 26, 2026 and at that time shall be opened, and publicly read, for furnishing: EXCLUSIVE REFUSE COLLECTION, CURBSIDE RECYCLING AND DISPOSAL SERVICES, INCLUDING A ONCE-A-YEAR CITY WIDE CLEAN-UP, FOR RESIDENTIAL HOUSEHOLDS IN THE CITY OF GENEVA, OHIO. Copies of the Bid Documents, including Bid Specifications, are on file for public inspection and may be obtained at the City Manager's Office in the Municipal Building. Bids are to be submitted on the Bid Forms provided in the Bid Documents. Each bid must contain the full name and address of each and every person, company or corporation interested in the same; shall state whether individual, partnership or corporation; and each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, bank cashier's or official's check, or certified check, payable to the City of Geneva, Ohio drawn on a solvent bank, in the amount of Three Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($3,500.00) as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured by a corporate surety.Each bid shall be enclosed in an opaque, sealed envelope, plainly marked on the outside: BID PROPOSAL FOR EXCLUSIVE REFUSE COLLECTION, CURBSIDE RECYCLING AND DISPOSAL SERVICES, and shall bear the name and address of the bidder.No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of thirty (30) days from date of the opening of the sealed proposals.The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities and/or irregularities in any bid, to request additional information, and to accept any bid consistent with law, deemed in the best interest of, and most favorable to, the City.
