ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDSProject No. B-F-24-1BT-1Mahoning County, Ohio Separate Sealed Bids for the North Wickcliffe Neighborhood Sidewalk Improvements, Phase B – Walk, will be received by the Mahoning County Commissioners, at the Purchasing Department, County Administration Building, 21 West Boardman Street, 1st Floor, Youngstown, Ohio until 1:30pm local time, March 4, 2026 - and then publicly opened and read aloud. The project consists of partial sidewalk removal and replacement with ADA curb ramp installation with both a base bid and alternate bid to be awarded if funding allows. The Engineers Estimate for the Base Bid is $76,000.00 and the Alternate Bid is $24,000.00. The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, Forms of Bid Guaranty and Performance Bond, and other Contract Documents may be examined, and copies obtained at a cost of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00), which is not refundable, at the: MAHONING COUNTY PURCHASING DEPARTMENT21 West Boardman Street, 1 st FloorYoungstown, Ohio 44503 Failure to Obtain Proposal from the Mahoning County Purchasing Department may result in Bid Rejection(s) due to non-compliance with fee requirements and official addendum notification(s). The bids of corporations not chartered in Ohio must be accompanied by proper certifications that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Bidders shall provide a Bid Guaranty in one of the following two forms:Form 1- A Bid Guaranty and Performance Bond for the full amount of the bid, including all additive alternates.Form 2- A Bid Guaranty in the form of certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305, Ohio Revised Code, equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, including all additive alternates. The Consent of Surety form shall be included. The project is to be funded by a Community Development Block Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246.
