VIOLET TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING AND PUBLIC HEARING The Violet Township Board of Trustees will hold a Special Meeting for the purposes of holding a public hearing on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. at the Violet Township Administrative Offices located at 10190 Blacklick-Eastern Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147 to consider the following: Case No. ZAMD-26-1, pro-posed amendments to the Violet Township Zoning Resolution that, if adopted, would revise the time period for the Community Gathering Place Overlay District (CGPOD) plan schedule by increasing the time from receipt of application to Zoning Commission work session and Trustees' public hearing; increasing the number of binders containing an application for a CGPOD; requiring letters from County Engineer receipt of Traffic Study, letter from Fire Department acknowledging copy of Development Plan, letter from Soil and Water Conservation District acknowledging receipt of Development Plan and stormwater plans; provisions to return application if not sufficiently submitted; providing minimum livable floor areas for single family dwelling units in the CGPOD; modifying the required parking spaces within a garage space, specifying the minimum garage size; provisions to limit garage dominant homes; and to provide additional methods of notices of public hearings for conditional use permits; applications for the Board of Zoning Appeals including conditional zoning certificates and variances and appeals; and methods of notices for applications for the Zoning Commission and Board of Trustees for changes in zoning and zoning amendments; and to amend provisions as they pertain to Township economic development requirements in connection with zoning actions. These amendments are available for examination from April 28, 2026, through May 7, 2026, inclusive, Mondays through Fridays, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Violet Township Administrative Offices, 10190 Blacklick Eastern Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147.
