Public Notice Legal Notice Notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of the Borough of Cambridge Springs, Crawford Co., PA., will consider enactment of an ordinance to amend its Zoning Ordinance of which this is a summary, at its public meeting on Monday March 2, 2026, at 6:30 pm, at the Borough Building located at 161 Carringer St., Cambridge Springs. The title of the Ordinance is An Ordinance to amend the Cambridge Springs Borough Zoning Code to Ordinance add provisions for Community Centers, Senior Community Centers, and Senior Independent Living Facilities. Sections 1, 2 & 3 amend section 1266.11 to add Community Centers, Senior Community Centers, and Senior Independent Living Facilities as permitted uses in the Multi-Family Residential, R-2 Zoning District; to add definitions for the 3 uses to section 1260.97. Section 4 adds supplementary regulations for Senior Independent Living facilities, section 1268.07, for Senior Community Centers, section 1268.08, for Community Centers section 1268.09. The standards include specific standards for setbacks, height, accessory uses and structures, site distances at corners, parking, types of residential uses, screening and landscaping, many of which supersede other standards that would otherwise apply. Section 5 repeals inconsistent ordinances. Section 6 makes the ordinance effective after publication of its adoption. A public hearing on the proposed amendment will be conducted before Borough Council considers adoption of the ordinance to give the public an opportunity to comment and question the ordinance.
