Legals,Legal Notices,Notice of an Intent to Remediate (NIR) Pursuant to the Land Recycling and Environmental Remediation Standards Act, the act of May 19, 1995, P.L. 4, No. 1995-2, notice is hereby given that Thirteen Fifty-Nine Frankford Associates LP (FA) has submitted to the PADEP a NIR for a site located at 1351-1359 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125. The site has been redeveloped for mixed commercial/residential usage and possesses soil and groundwater impacted by fuel oils and polyaromatic hydrocarbons. FA has indicated that they will remediate the site to the Site-Specific Standard (SSS) for residential usage utilizing removal, treatment and pathway elimination. The Act provides for a 30-day public comment period for SSS remediations. The comment period is initiated with the publication of this notice. The municipality may submit a request to FA to be involved in the development of the remediation, reuse and/or public involvement plans by contacting Steven F. Coe at (215) 322-5050. Copies of these requests and of any comments should be submitted to C. David Brown, PADEP, 2 E. Main Street, Norristown, PA 19401.
