NOTICE TO THE RESIDENTS OF TULPEHOCKEN TOWNSHIP The Board of Supervisors of Tulpehocken Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Tulpehocken Township Building located at 22 Rehrersburg Road in Tulpehocken Township will conduct a hearing on and consider the enactment of an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance summarized below. The complete title and a summary of the proposed Zoning Ordinance amendments are as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE TOWNSHIP OF TULPEHOCKEN, BERKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, AMENDING THE TULPEHOCKEN TOWNSHIP ZONING ORDINANCE OF 2013, AS AMENDED, TO ALLOW FOR AND PROVIDE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR SHORT TERM RENTALS Section 1 adds definitions. Section 2 adds a new Section 541.18 providing for Short Term Rentals with maximum occupancy of twelve or fewer occupants as a permitted use in the VC – Village Center District. Section 3 adds a new Section 543.16 providing for Short Term Rentals with occupancy in excess of twelve occupants as a special exception use in the VC – Village Center District. Section 4 adds a new Section 641.12 providing for Short Term Rentals with maximum occupancy of twelve or fewer occupants as a permitted use in the RR – Rural Residential District. Section 5 adds a new Section 643.09 providing for Short Term Rentals with occupancy in excess of twelve occupants as a special exception use in the RR – Rural Residential District. Section 6 adds a new Section 741.32 providing for Short Term Rentals with maximum occupancy of twelve or fewer occupants as a permitted use in the IC – Industrial-Commercial District. Section 10 adds a new Section 1039-A to be entitled Short Term Rentals and providing for regulations therefor. Section 11 states that the Zoning Ordinance of 2013 otherwise remains unchanged. Section 12 is the repealer provision. Section 13 provides that the provisions of the Ordinance are severable. Section 14 establishes that this Ordinance shall become effective at the earliest date permitted by law. All interested residents are invited to attend and be heard.
