Calhoun County seeks qualifications for engineering services for a grant application.

REQUEST FOR  QUALIFICATIONS   Notice is hereby given that the Commissioners’ Court of Calhoun County, Texas authorized the County Auditor to advertise for qualifications for:  GLO CDBG ENGINEERING/ARCHITECTURAL/SURVEYING SERVICES, RFQ 2026.09  The County of Calhoun plans to apply for the upcoming Community Development Block Grant, funding from the General Land Office (GLO) Community Development Block Grant Program. The County will be applying for such funding to support infrastructure activities in the County of Calhoun.  These services are being solicited to assist the County in its application preparation and project implementation of a GLO CBDG contract(s), if awarded, to support eligible activities in the County of Calhoun.  Accordingly, the County is seeking to contract with a qualified Engineering/Architectural/Surveying Firm (individual/firm) to prepare all preliminary and final design plans and specifications, and to conduct all necessary interim and final inspections. The complete submittal, consisting of one (1) original and four (4) copies, of your proposal of services and statement of qualifications for the proposed services and all required information and forms must be delivered in a sealed package clearly marked on the outside “RFQ 2026.09, CDBG GRANT Engineering/Architectural/Surveying Services” and addressed to : Honorable Vern L. Lyssy, Calhoun County Judge Calhoun County Courthouse 211 S. Ann Street 3 rd Floor, Suite 301 Port Lavaca, TX 77979.  Deadline for submission of the RFQ and all required information and forms is 2:00:00 PM, Thursday, April 30, 2026 in the County Judge’s office.  Commissioners’ Court reserves the right to negotiate with any and all individuals or firms that submits RFQs, to accept the RFQ deemed most advantageous to Calhoun County and to be the sole judge in determining which RFQ will be most advantageous to Calhoun County.
