136869 Notice to Bidders Newman-Ripple Creek NOTICE TO BIDDERS Lewis Conservation District Chehalis, Washington Newman-Ripple Creek Fish Passage Improvement Project, 2026 SEALED BIDS will be received for Newman-Ripple Creek Fish Passage Improvement Project, 2026, (Engineers Estimate $50,000) at the office of Lewis Conservation District, located at 2057 SW Salsbury Ave, Chehalis, WA 98532, until April 21, 2026 at 2:30 P.M., at which time they will be publicly opened and read. A mandatory job show will be held at the site on April 15, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. Site address is 273 Romerman Road, Chehalis, WA 98532. Coordinates: Latitude 46.58063, Longitude -122.94753. Attendance at the job show is required for bid submission. Prospective bidders will meet at the Newman residence and then proceed through private roads to the project site. MAJOR BID ITEMS will include: Mobilization - LS, Dewater and Work Site Isolation - LS, Abutment Excavation, Haul and Disposal - 110 CY, Channel Excavation, Haul and Disposal - 70 CY, Streambed Gravels - 30 CY, Geotextile for Soil Separation at Abutments - 45 SY, Gravel Footing - 10 CY, Provide and Install Ultrablock Abutment System - LS, Scour Protection - 20 CY, Install Bridge (Provided) - LS, Gravel Borrow Import, Backfill and Compaction - 75 CY, Gravel Surfacing - 30 CY, Seed and Mulch - 0.25 AC, Project Cleanup - LS, Minor Change - $1000 T&M, and other items in conformance with the most current edition WSDOT Standard Specifications incl. the APWA Supplement, and the Special Provisions for this project. This project is funded by a grant from the Salmon Recovery Funding Board. Washington State prevailing wage provisions apply to this project and the contractor will be required to file a Statement of Intent to Pay Prevailing Wages to Department of Labor and Industries, as well as Affidavit of Wages Paid. The District will not make final payment until they receive evidence that the Affidavit form has been certified by L&I. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in the form of a Surety Bond, Cash, Cashier's Check or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. The proposal bond will be on DOT Form 272-001 revised 1/2020 for local agency use. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond or allow 10% withholding within the 3 weeks of award date, the bid proposal shall be forfeited to Lewis Conservation District. All bid proposals must be in writing, on forms furnished from the Lewis Conservation District, placed and sealed in an envelope, with an indication on the front bottom left corner of said envelope, the project name, name of bidder, and date and time of opening, and then delivered to the Lewis Conservation District Manager on or before the day and hour of the above-mentioned bid opening.
