SPOKANE PUBLIC SCHOOLS Request for Proposal No. 17-2526 – North Central High School Modernization Submittal Deadline: March 19, 2026 at 2:00:00 p.m. Spokane Public Schools is requesting proposals for the General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) for the North Central High School Modernization project using the procedure permitted under Chapter 39.10 of the RCW, as amended, for selected school projects for public works contracting in lieu of sealed bids. Final selection of the General Contractor/Construction Manager for these projects is dependent upon approval from Spokane Public Schools Board of Directors. This project will modernize approximately 100,000 square feet of an existing high school facility plus various site improvements. The total estimated Maximum Allowable Construction Cost is $50,000,000. Design phase activities include involvement of General Contractor/Construction Manager to: (1) assist in development of schedules, cost estimates, value analysis, quality and phasing the work effort well before construction can start and provide added assurance that the project will be completed on time, and (2) be involved in the design stage of the project to provide services to address constructability, sub-bid contracting strategies, site constraints, and neighborhood concerns, staging, safety and the minimization of disruptions. Interested firms may obtain a copy of this Request for Proposal between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. from Spokane Public Schools, Michael Pflieger, Purchasing Lead, Purchasing Services, 200 N. Bernard, Spokane, WA 99201, or on the district website at www.spokaneschools.org/Page/1035 on or after March 2, 2026. The Request for Proposal outlines the information necessary to understand this selection process and the documentation required for submitting proposals. Proposals must be received by Spokane Public Schools, 200 N. Bernard, Spokane, WA 99201, no later than 2:00:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2026. Any firm failing to submit its proposal in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Request for Proposal may be considered non-responsive.
