PUBLIC NOTICE The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) expects to conduct Japanese beetle treatments in Yakima, Benton and Franklin counties, WA beginning in early April 2026. The product to be used is Acelyprn (EPA Reg. No. 100-1489) which contains the active ingredient Chlorantraniliprole, an insecticide for the control of insects on golf courses, lawns, and landscape plants. The product will be applied by ground equipment to consenting properties. Questions about this project or other invasive species may be directed to WSDA at 1-800-443-6684 or pest@agr.wa.gov. Information about this project can also be found on the WSDA website at: https://agr.wa.gov/beetles. Treatments will be conducted under a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit issued by the Washington State Department of Ecology (ECY).
