WHATCOM COUNTY NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A MINOR VARIANCE REQUEST Notice is hereby given that on January 22, 2026, Leslie & Tabatha Thorpe applied for a Minor Variance under case number (VAR-MIN2026-00001) to construct a single-family residence. Due to proximity to critical areas the proposal requires minor variance review pursuant to the Whatcom County Critical Areas Ordinance WCC 16.16.273(b). The application was determined complete on March 9, 2026, indicating that all submittal requirements were met. The subject property is located at 5071 Drayton Harbor Rd, within Section 13, Township 40, Range 1 West of W.M. Assessor's parcel number(s): 405113292320.
