Be It Enacted by the Quorum Court of the County of Columbia, State of Arkansas; an Ordinance to be Entitled:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 96-1 BY ADOPTING A NEW COUNTY EMPLOYMENT POLICY, DIRECTING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUCH POLICY, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

BE IT ORDAINED, BY THE QUORUM COURT OF COLUMBIA COUNTY, ARKANSAS.

WHEREAS, by Ordinance 96-1, the Quorum Court of Columbia County adopted an Employment Policy Manual which was amended by ordinances 2009.19; 2017.4; 2017.29; 2019.12 and 2020.10; and

WHEREAS, the Quorum Court has found and determined that it is necessary and desirable to amend said policy manual in numerous respects, and that the most expeditious way to accomplish this objective is to substitute for said Employment Policy Manual, in its entirety, a new document styled “Columbia County, Arkansas Employment Policy”; and

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 96-1 requires that such changes to the Employment Policy Manu
