NOTICE INVITING BIDSThe Hermosa Beach City School District (“District”) is seeking electronic bids from qualified experienced, and licensed contractors for the construction/installation of the following public-project (“Project”): Bid No.HVW-2026-001, Relocatable Classroom Installation – Hermosa View Elementary School, for a project value of $120,000. The work includes, but is not limited to, installation of two (2) refurbished relocatable classroom buildings, each approximately 960 square feet, site work, utility connections, fire alarm, electrical and technology systems, trenching, grading, paving, and all related improvements required for a complete and operational project in accordance with the Contract Documents.BID DOCUMENTS: The documents necessary to submit a bid for the Project (“Bid Documents”) are available for download at: https://www.hbcsd.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=4418716&type=d&pREC_ID=2175329CONTRACTOR LICENSE: In order to bid on the Work, a contractor must have a CSLB-issued contractor license with the following classification(s): B.BID SUBMITTAL: Bidders must submit electronic bids to Ann Marie Johansen of District Advocates Group at annmarie@dagk12.com by June 15, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. Any bid submitted after this time shall be nonresponsive and will not be accepted or viewed. Each Bidder is solely responsible for timely submission of its bid; the District is not responsible for any technological issues in a Bidder’s ability to timely submit its bid or portion thereof. Bids will be opened and read aloud.REQUIRED BID SECURITY: Each bid must be submitted with bid security as described in the Instructions for Bidders. Bid Security is due IN HARD COPY by the BID DUE DATE and TIME.MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE: The District will conduct a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit at 10:00 a.m. on May 26, 2026 at Hermosa View Elementary School, 1800 Prospect Ave., Hermosa Beach, CA 90254-3350. Bidders who do not attend the entire mandatory conference will be deemed non-responsive and ineligible to submit a bid.CONTRACT AWARD: The District anticipates Board approval of the Contract on or about July 8, 2026, with Notice of Intent to Award issued on July 10, 2026.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: This project is a public works project and is subject to prevailing wage requirements. All bidders must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds and meet all requirements of the Contract Documents.
