INVITATION TO BIDNotice is hereby given through this Invitation to Bid that the Val Verde Unified School (“District”) invites and will receive sealed bids (“Bid(s)”) from licensed contractors (“Contractor(s)” or “Bidder(s)”) for the furnishing to District of all labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, permits, utilities, and all other items necessary for the construction of (“Work”): School Site Portables – VVHS (“Site”): Val Verde HS (“Project”) The Project consists of: For more information, refer to Division 01 – Spec. Section 011100 – Scope of Work, which are incorporated by reference into Exhibit A of the Contract for Construction & Installation that is part of the Contract Documents. The Contract Documents and any addenda are available for review on the District’s website, which Bidders should check daily for updates at www.valverde.edu under District Information>Bids. Sealed Bids will be received until 10:00 a.m., May 8, 2026, at the Val Verde Unified School District Attn: Facilities, Contracts, and Purchasing Services Department, Building 500, located at 975 W. Morgan St., Perris CA 92571, at or after which time Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids received after said time shall be returned unopened. Any claim by a Bidder of error in its Bid must be made in compliance with Public Contract Code § 5100, et seq. Bids received after said time shall be returned unopened. Bids must be submitted on the District’s forms, including the Bid Form. Each Bid must conform and be responsive to all pertinent Contract Documents, including, but not limited to, the Instructions to Bidders. To Bid on this Project, each Bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to sections 7000 et seq. of the Business and Professions Code in the following classification(s) throughout the time it submits its Bid and for the duration of the Project. Each Bid shall be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier’s check, or Bid Bond in favor of the District, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. Mandatory Job WalkThere will be a Mandatory Job Walk at 1:00 p.m., April 23, 2026, at Val Verde High School, in front of the Administration Building at 972 West Morgan St., Perris, California 92571. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond (Labor and Materials) each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price on the forms included in the Contract Documents. Pursuant to Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code, the successful Bidder may substitute certain securities for funds withheld by District to ensure its performance under the contract. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors shall pay all workers on the Project not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labor Code. Prevailing wage rates are available from the District or on the Internet at: http://www.dir.ca.gov. Bidders and Bidders’ subcontractors shall comply with the registration and qualification requirements pursuant to sections 1725.5 and 1771.1 of the California Labor Code. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The District will award the Contract to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder based on the total base bid amount only; The District’s Governing Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any Bid received. If the District awards the Contract, the security of unsuccessful bidder(s) shall be returned within sixty (60) days from the time the award is made. Unless otherwise required by law, no Bidder may withdraw its Bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the Bid opening, during which time the Bid, and any pricing therein, shall remain open.The Press-EnterprisePublished: 4/22, 4/29/26
