Each bid must be on a Districts form and accompanied with a certified, cashier's check, bid bond, or Surety2000 electronic bid bond authorization code (preferred) with an approved surety company as defined in the Code of Civil Procedure 995.120, payable to "Los Angeles County Sanitation District No. 2," for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total amount bid as guaranty that the bidder, if successful, will enter into the proposed contract and will provide separate performance (100%) and payment bonds (100%), insurance certificates, and other required documents for all required labor, material, equipment and tools. A copy of the bid bond, certified, or cashier's check must be uploaded at the time of bid, or the Surety2000 authorization code provided at the time of bid. The Bidder must provide the original copy of the bid bond within three (3) business days of the electronic bid opening. The contractor and subcontractor shall use the rates for Los Angeles County area for each trade, craft, classification, or type of work needed to execute the contract.
