REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS AND PROPOSALS FOR PROCUREMENT AND INCIDENTAL INSTALLATION OF STATE-OF-THE-ART AUDIO, VISUAL, AND A BROADCAST SYSTEM AT COMPTON UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD CONFERENCE ROOM (PUBLIC CONTRACT CODE SECTION 20118.2) R26-006 The Compton Unified School District (“District”) invites qualified firms, partnerships, corporations, associations, or professional organizations (“Firm(s)”) to submit a proposal (“Proposal”) in response to this Request for Proposals (“RFP”) to provide all Products, Materials, Incidental Installation of State of the Art Audio, Visual, and Broadcast System and related services for the Compton Unified School District Board Conference Room as further described herein (“A/V Systems Upgrades”). Included is the scope of work, form of Contract, and Exhibits attached to the form of Contract attached to the RFP. The District intends to award this Contract, or pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20118.2. Proposal packets may be downloaded from the Compton Unified School District Website at: https://www.compton.k12.ca.us/district1/doing-business [https://www.compton.k12.ca.us/district1/doing-business] INTERESTED FIRMS MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA FOR PROPOSAL SUBMISSION: Be licensed and possess the following State of California Contractor License: C-10 (Electrical Contractor) and C-7 (Low Voltage Systems Contractor) with Class “B” (General Building Contractor). Contractor May use respective subcontractors for electrical and low voltage systems scope; Be insured; Be appropriately certified and licensed. The Contractor can be located anywhere, but it must maintain a staffed office within the State of California. The Firm’s license(s) must be active and in good standing at the time of the Proposal opening and must remain so throughout the term of the Contract. Interested Firms are invited to submit a Proposal to include, one (1) original, three (3) copies, and one (1) digital copy on a thumb drive, to: Compton Unified School District Office on the 2nd Floor Room 285, at 501 S Santa Fe Avenue, Compton CA 90221 ATTN: Mikkiala Peele Proposals submitted at any other location other than that specified above, faxed or electronically submitted, or submitted later than Mon, April 13, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., will be rejected. Proposals will be opened on Mon, April 13, 2026, at 10:10 a.m. Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting and Preliminary Job walk. There shall be a mandatory pre-proposal meeting with preliminary job walk to follow on Tue, March 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at 501 S Santa Fe Avenue, Compton CA 90221. All Firms that intend to submit a Proposal must attend the pre-Proposal meeting.The failure of any Firm to attend the mandatory pre-Proposal meeting shall be grounds for the District to deem the Firm’s Proposal non-responsive. PLEASE NOTE: This Project has an engineering and cost budget for all products and services called for in this RFQ/P of $425,000. Questions regarding this RFQ/P must be in writing and emailed to MPeele@compton.k12.ca.us by Tue, March 24, 2026, 2:00 p.m. Any questions received after that date and time noted will not receive a response. FIRMS WITH QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS ABOUT THIS RFQ/P SHOULD NOT CONTACT ANY OTHER DISTRICT REPRESENTATIVE, BOARD MEMBER, CONSULTANT, OR EMPLOYEE. ANY PROPOSER VIOLATING THIS PROVISION SHALL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM SUBMITTING A PROPOSAL. The District will respond to questions in writing by Tue, March 31, 2026, by 5:00 p.m. The District shall follow this schedule for the review and selection process and reserves the right to modify this schedule. If the District issues addenda to this RFP, it will be emailed to all participants. Proposers shall acknowledge receipt of all Addenda with their Proposal. Select participant(s) may be asked to present their proposal(s) to the District Board Members, and/or Affiliates. Interviews may be conducted as deemed necessary for the select participant(s) and/or awardee. Proposals will be accepted only from those Firms which attend the mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting. The District reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals, seek further qualifications from Firms, and reserves the right to amend this RFP, as necessary.
