NOTICE CALLING FOR BIDSDISTRICT:IRVINE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICTPROJECT:Sierra Vista Middle School Expansion and Measure E Series 4 Interior Improvements (Project # 512EXP4-24-091 & 512E5-24-021)NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Irvine Unified School District of Orange County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as "DISTRICT," has determined that all bidders for the Sierra Vista Middle School Expansion and Measure E Series 4 Interior Improvements ("Project") must be prequalified in accordance with Public Contract Code section 20111.6 prior to submitting a bid on the Project. Any contractor that has not prequalified* on a DISTRICT project in accordance with Public Contract Code section 20111.6 within the past twelve (12) months and is interested in bidding on the Project, must submit a Prequalification Questionnaire Package online to PQBids at https://pqbids.com/irvine- usd/by the date and time indicated herein.PREQUALIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE PACKAGE DEADLINE:1:00 p.m. of the 7th day of April 2026**Any contractor that has prequalified with the DISTRICT in accordance with Public Contract Code section 20111.6 within the past twelve (12) months may satisfy the prequalification requirements for this Project if its earlier Prequalification Questionnaire package was approved for the same or appropriate license requirement, and the contractor's total base bid and alternates amount for this Project does not exceed their prequalified bid amount which is equal to fifty percent (50%) of the contractors bonding capacity. Otherwise, the contractor must submit a fully completed Prequalification Questionnaire Package to be eligible for prequalification for this Project. Bidders are solely responsible to verify with the DISTRICT whether they are properly prequalified to submit a bid for this Project.Since this Project includes work that will be performed by Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing ("MEP”) contractors (contractors that require C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C- 42, C-43 or C-46 licenses), such MEP subcontractors must also be prequalified.
