ORDINANCE NO. 26-1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 18 (DEVELOPMENT CODE), CHAPTERS 18.30 (RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS) AND 18.40 (OFFICE AND COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS) TO INCREASE MAXIMUM RESIDENTIAL AND MIXED-USED BUILDING HEIGHTS IN THE COMMUNITY OFFICE (CO), COMMERCIAL MIXED USE (CMX), AND RESIDENTIAL HIGH DENSITY (RH) ZONING DISTRICTS TO IMPLEMENT STATE LAW AND OBJECTIVE 2.6 OF THE 2023-2031 HOUSING ELEMENT (PL25200 MC) PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on February 10, 2026, in the Concord City Council Chamber, located at 1950 Parkside Drive, Concord, CA, at 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Concord City Council will consider adoption of the above-entitled Ordinance. Summary: Pursuant to Objective 2.6 of the 2023-2031 Housing Element of the City's General Plan, the Ordinance amends the Concord Municipal Code to increase maximum residential and mixed-use building heights in the Community Office (CO), Commercial Mixed Use (CMX), and Residential High Density (RH) zoning districts by seven feet. Resulting height changes are as follows: CO: an increase from 30 to 37 feet CMX: an increase of 30 to 37 feet RH: an increase from 60 to 67 feet. Specific changes are identified in the Ordinance.
