NOTICE INVITING FORMAL BIDSNOTICE, PLACE AND DUE DATE, PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Orange Unified School District, “District”, will receive electronically-sealed bids pursuant to Public Contract Code (PCC) section 1601 through the PlanetBids Portal https://pbsystem.planetbids.com/portal/15578/portal-home “Vendor Portal” prior to 2:00 pm on March 19, 2026 “Due Date” for Bid No. 2526- 953 Cares Portable – Relocatable Classroom & Walking Track at Villa Park Elementary School. This project includes but is not limited to general construction including minor site demolition, site utilities including site electrical service, telecom, fire alarm, sewer and water, etc. Minor excavation and grading, new asphalt pavement for the installation of (2) 1-story interim modular classroom buildings being relocated from Portola Middle School, a (N) walking track, and renovated to existing staff restrooms to be installed on site at the Orange Unified School District’s Villa Park Elementary School campus. This project includes minor demolition of portions of existing site area per drawings.DOCUMENTS AVAILABILITY: This public works prevailing wage rate Project (Labor Code 1720) is further detailed in the Project documents, is available only through the Vendor Portal. The Project documents will govern should there be any conflict with the notice.LICENSES, DIR REGISTRATION, PREQUALIFICATIONS: Prime contractor must possess a valid CSLB Class A “General Engineering Contractor” OR Class B “General Building Contractor” – California State Contractor’s License (Cal. Code 1725.2).The Contract Time is 100 days. CONTRACTOR should consult General Conditions, Supplementary & Special Conditions, and General Requirements regarding Milestones and Liquidated Damages.MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE: All prospective contractors must be on time and attend the entire pre-bid conference held at the following times and locations. Failure to attend the entire conference or tardiness will render the bid ineligible . * 10:30 AM on February 20, 2026, at Portola Middle School 270 N Palm Dr, Orange, CA 92868. Bidders shall meet in front of the administration building. * 11:15 AM on February 20, 2026, at Villa Park Elementary School 10551 Center Dr, Villa Park, CA 92861. Bidders shall meet in front of the administration building. BASIS FOR AWARD: District shall award the Contract, if it awards it at all, to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the total Project award amount and who provides all the required bonds, insurance, and documents as required in the Project documents.
