OFFICIAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGCITY OF TUSTIN
Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Tustin, California, will conduct a public hearing on March 3, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, 300 Centennial Way, Tustin, California.
The City Council will consider the following item:
Project Title:Code Amendment (CA) 2025-0002Applicant:City of TustinProject Location:Citywide
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project is a City-initiated request to amend various sections of Article 9 (Land Use) of the Tustin City Code to provide clarity, ensure consistency of terms and definitions, implementation of General Plan 2021–2029 Housing Element programs, ensure compliance with relative state laws, and clarify the prohibition of short-term rentals.
PLANNING COMMISSION ACTION:
On January 27, 2025, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 4538, recommending City Council approval of CA 2025-0002.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW:
This project is not subject to the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA"; Cal. Pub. Resources Code Section 21000 et seq.) pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3) of the State CEQA Guidelines (Cal. Code of Regs., Title 14, Section 15000 et seq.) because it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a significant effect on the environment.
