SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 897 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CATHEDRAL CITY, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 9.114 OF TITLE 9 (PLANNING AND ZONING) OF THE CATHEDRAL CITY MUNICIPAL CODE TO CONFORM WITH NEW STATE LEGISLATION REGULATING ACCESSORY DWELLING UNITS The following constitutes a summary of the ordinance adopted by the City Council of the City of Cathedral City at its meeting held March 25, 2026, by the following vote: Ayes: 5 (Council Members Gordon, Ross and Lamb; Mayor Pro Tern Gutierrez and Mayor Gregory) Noes: 0 Recused: 0 Abstain: 0 Absent: 0 The City regulates accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and junior accessory dwelling units (JADUs) under Chapter 9.114 of the Cathedral City Municipal Code.
