PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF LAWNDALE Notice is hereby given that at 6:30 p.m. on April 22, 2026, the Lawndale Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the City of Lawndale City Council Chambers located at 14717 Burin Avenue, Lawndale, California to review the following proposals: CASE NO. 2602: A PROPOSAL TO ADD SQUARE FOOTAGE TO AN EXISTING SINGLEFAMILY RESIDENTIAL UNIT THAT REQUIRES A LOT SIZE EXCEPTION APPROVAL FOR THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 4556 W 164th STREET IN THE R2 ZONE. Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) the City of Lawndale has determined that the project is exempt under section 15303(a) (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures). CASE NO. 2606: PUBLIC HEARING AND A RECOMMENDATION TO THE CITY COUNCIL TO AMEND TITLE 17 (ZONING ORDINANCE) OF THE LAWNDALE MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR ACCESSORY DWELLING UNITS TO REFLECT RECENT CHANGES IN STATE LAW AND FINDING OF EXEMPTION FROM CEQA. The project has been deemed to be Categorically Exempt to CEQA, pursuant to Section 15061 (B)(3) and 15378 of the CEQA guidelines. A CEQA Categorical Exemption has been prepared for this project. The files for the two proposals are available for review Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., in the Community Development Department offices located at 14717 Burin Avenue, Lawndale, California. Any grounds for opposing these projects must be made at the time of the meeting or made in written correspondence. If you challenge this matter in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues that you or someone else raised during the meeting.
