MANSANDCALIFORNIANOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 26-0002 ADOPTING A DEVELOPMENT IPACT FEE PROGRAM, AMENDING THE MANHATTAN BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE, AND MAKING FINDINGS OF EXEMPTION PURSUANT TO CEQA PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on February 17, 2026, by a 5-0 vote, the Manhattan Beach City Council adopted the following:AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MANHATTAN BEACH ADOPTING A DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEE PROGRAM, AMENDING THE MANHATTAN BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE, AND MAKING FINDINGS OF EXEMPTION PURSUANT TO CEQAThe following is a summary of Ordinance No. 26-0002:Ordinance No. 26-0002 adds a new Chapter 8.40 to the Manhattan Beach Municipal Code to adopt a Development Impact Fee Program and makes findings of exemption pursuant to CEQA. The Development Impact Fees are based on the January 2026 Development Impact Fee Nexus Study for the City of Manhattan Beach, California, prepared by Harris & Associates. The purpose of the Ordinance is to require that all new residential and nonresidential development pay development impact fees to mitigate only their impacts on the City's public facilities and infrastructure. The Ordinance establishes development impact fees in the following categories: General Government Facilities Fee, Police Facilities Fee, Fire Facilities Fee, Transportation Fee, Storm Drainage Fee, Water Fee, Wastewater (Sewer) Facilities Fee, and Program Administration Fee.
