CITY OF SAUSALITO NOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING FOR AN ORDINANCE ENACTING SECTION 5.16.15 "SHORTTERM RENTAL FACILITATOR COLLECTION AND REPORTING" OF THE SAUSALITO MUNICIPAL CODE PURSUANT TO SB 346 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Sausalito City Council unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 022026 at the Regular City Council Meeting held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 5:00 p.m, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 420 Litho Street, Sausalito on the following proposed action: . Enacting Section 5.16.15 "ShortTerm Rental Facilitator Connection and Reporting" of the Sausalito Municipal Code pursuant to SB 346 The ordinance, in accordance with new state law, requires shortterm rental facilitators, such as AirBNB, VRBO and others, to report information in a form prescribed by the City of Sausalito to identify short term rentals operating within the City's jurisdiction. The ordinance does not legalize any shortterm rental activity in Sausalito, and assists the City in enforcement of its existing regulations.
