CITY OF SAUSALITONOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING FORAN ORDINANCE ENACTING SECTION 5.16.15 “SHORT-TERM RENTAL FACILITATOR COLLECTION AND REPORTING” OF THE SAUSALITO MUNICIPAL CODE PURSUANT TO SB 346NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Sausalito City Council unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 02-2026 at the Regular City Council Meeting held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at 5:00 p.m, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 420 Litho Street, Sausalito on the following proposed action: · Enacting Section 5.16.15 “Short-Term Rental Facilitator Connection and Reporting” of the Sausalito Municipal Code pursuant to SB 346 The ordinance, in accordance with new state law, requires short-term rental facilitators, such as AirBNB, VRBO and others, to report information in a form prescribed by the City of Sausalito to identify short term rentals operating within the City’s jurisdiction. The ordinance does not legalize any short-term rental activity in Sausalito, and assists the City in enforcement of its existing regulations.
