Public hearing on proposed wholesale water rates for 2027 and 2028.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED
ON WHOLESALE WATER RATES AND CHARGES
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (Metropolitan) is a regional wholesaler that operates as a voluntary cooperative of 26 member public agencies – 14 cities, 11 municipal water districts, and one county water authority. Metropolitan delivers wholesale water to its member agencies and they, or their customer agencies, in turn provide water to nearly 19 million people in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura counties. Metropolitan is governed by a 38-member Board of Directors that represents their respective member agencies ensuring each member agency is part of the governance of Metropolitan.
Metropolitan will hold a public hearing to receive comments from member agencies and the general public on proposed rates and charges for wholesale water services it provides to its member agencies, to be considered by Metropolitan's Board of Directors for calendar years 2027 and 2028.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 and at 2:00 p.m. at the Board Meeting before Metropolitan's Board of Directors, 700 N. Alameda, Los Angeles, CA. The link for the meeting can be found at https://mwdh2o.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx.
