SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO 875 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANDERSON ADDING CHAPTER 8.62 TO THE ANDERSON MUNICIPAL CODE PROHIBITING THE SALE AND DISTRIBUTION OF KRATOM THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANDERSON does hereby find, determine, and declare as follows: Pursuant to Government Code Section 36933(c), the following constitutes a summary of Ordinance No. 875 introduced by the Anderson City Council on April 7, 2026 at a regular meeting and adopted on April 21, 2026 at its meeting held in the City Council Chambers at 1887 Howard Street, Anderson, California. In the interest of the health, safety and welfare of the people of the City of Anderson, the City Council desires to prohibit the sale and distribution of any product containing kratom within the jurisdictional boundaries of the City. A certified copy of the full text of the Ordinance is posted and available for review in the City Clerk’s Office at 1887 Howard Street, Anderson, California. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effective thirty (30) days after its adoption and shall be published and posted as required by law.
