SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE No 876 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANDERSON ADDING CHAPTER 8.61 TO THE ANDERSON MUNICIPAL CODE PROHIBITING THE SALE, DISTRIBUTION AND USE OF NITROUS OXIDE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANDERSON does hereby find, determine, and declare as follows: Pursuant to Government Code Section 36933(c), the following constitutes a summary of Ordinance No. 876 introduced by the Anderson City Council on April 7, 2026 at a regular meeting and adopted on April 21, 2026 at its meeting held in the City Council Chambers at 1887 Howard Street, Anderson, California. In the interest of health, safety and welfare of the City of Anderson residents and visitors, the City Council desires to prohibit the misuse and abuse of nitrous oxide by restricting the sale, distribution, and use of nitrous oxide within the jurisdictional boundaries of the City A certified copy of the full text of the Ordinance is posted and available for review in the City Clerk’s Office at 1887 Howard Street, Anderson, California. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effective thirty (30) days after its adoption and shall be published and posted as required by law.
