Summary of Proposed Ordinance
 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Section 36933 of the California Government Code, the City Council of the City of Farmersville will consider the approval of a proposed ordinance (“Ordinance”) at the regular meeting of the City Council to be held on May 26, 2026, at the hour of 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City of Farmersville, 909 W. Visalia Rd., Farmersville, California. A certified copy of the full text of the Ordinance will be posted in the office of the City Clerk at least five (5) days prior to said City Council meeting and will be available to the public for inspection.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FARMERSVILLE ADOPTING MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 3.44 ENACTING A TEN PERCENT (10%) TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX ON HOTEL OCCUPANCIES WITHIN THE CITY
 
This Ordinance shall take effect only if approved by a majority of the eligible voters of the City of Farmersville voting at a General Municipal election to be held on November 3, 2026. Pursuant to California Elections Code Section 9217, this Ordinance shall be deemed valid and binding and shall be considered as adopted upon the date that the vote is declared by the City Council and shall take effect ten (10) days after that date.
