NOTICE OF ADOPTION ORDINANCE NO. 26-05 MORAGA-ORINDA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its meeting held on April 15, 2026, the Board of Directors of the Moraga-Orinda Fire Protection District adopted Ordinance No. 26-05, entitled: An Ordinance of the Moraga-Orinda Fire Protection District Amending the Purchasing and Contracting Procedures and Authorities to Authorize Use of Design-Build and Progressive Design-Build Processes. AYES: DIRECTORS ROEMER, JEX, DANZIGER, AND JORGENS NOES: NONE ABSENT: DIRECTOR HASLER ABSTAIN: NONE SUMMARY OF THE ORDINANCE: The District previously adopted Ordinance No. 24-03 establishing purchasing and contracting procedures. Ordinance No. 26-05 amends those procedures to authorize the use of design-build and progressive design-build project delivery methods, where permitted by the California Public Contract Code. These additional project delivery methods provide the District with greater flexibility in delivering public works projects, depending on the circumstances and needs of a particular project. The Board subsequently adopted a conflict of interest policy as required by the Public Contract Code. This ordinance takes effect May 15, 2026.
