SCC 2026-02 AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THECOUNTY OF SHASTA ADDING CHAPTER 16.14, ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS, TO THE SHASTA COUNTY CODE AYES: Supervisors Harmon, Plummer, Kelstrom, Crye, and Long NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None RECUSE: None SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE: The ordinance adds Chapter 16.14 ? Electric Vehicle Charging Stations to Shasta County Code Title 16 ? Buildings and Construction in response to California Government Code Sections 65850.7 and 65850.71 which require the adoption of a local ordinance to streamline permitting for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS), including provisions that require ministerial approval, limited review, and expedited approval of EVCS projects.
