NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE SHASTA COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held in the Board Supervisors Chambers, County Administration Center, 1450 Court Street, Suite 263, Redding, California, on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., or as soon thereafter as may be heard, for the Board of Supervisors of the County of Shasta, State of California, to consider introducing, waiving the reading of, and enacting the following ordinance: AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SHASTA, SETTING FORTH A CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FEE FOR COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 17-COTTONWOOD SEWER NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, at this public hearing, all interested persons may appear and be heard thereon. SUMMARY OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE: The proposed ordinance would increase the capital improvement fee for new connections to the sewer system within County Service Area No. 17-Cottonwood requiring service in excess of any household equivalents currently assigned to the parcel being developed. The fees are based on an analysis of the estimated reasonable costs to provide sewer services to new development within County Service Area No. 17-Cottonwood. The total estimated cost of the project to provide this service is $37,893,000, which will be funded through sewer connection fees. Supporting information regarding the estimated costs and fee analysis is available in the report titled 2022 Amendment to the 2013 Sewer Master Plan. The report is available for public review at the Shasta County Public Works Office, located at 1855 Placer Street, Redding, California, and on the Shasta County Public Works website at https://www.shastacounty.gov/public-works/page/water-sewer-csas. All interested parties are encouraged and invited to submit written comments regarding the proposed action prior to the hearing or participate in the public hearing. Reasonable accommodations will be made to individuals with disabilities. To submit comments electronically, please forward them to shastacountybos@shastacounty.gov.
