ORDINANCE NO. 1370
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIMI VALLEY FOR SIMI VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE AMENDMENT (Z-S-2025-0006) TO REGULATE SHORT-TERM RENTALS IN RESIDENTIAL ZONES, AND A DETERMINATION THAT THE AMENDMENTS ARE EXEMPT FROM THE CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT
This Ordinance was duly introduced for first reading at the City Council meeting of May 11, 2026, with the addition of the requirement of a pre-permitting and renewal inspection for applications to Title 5, Chapter 46, Section 5-46.06 (Application Procedure), and will be presented for a second reading at the meeting of June 8, 2026. The provisions of the Ordinance regulate short-term rentals in residential zones.
This Ordinance shall go into full force and effect at 12:01 a.m. on the thirty-first (31st) day after its passage.
Copies of this Ordinance are available through the City Clerk's office for examination and purchase by the general public.
