TAHOE REGIONAL PLANNING AGENCYADVISORY PLANNING COMMISSIONNOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS The Advisory Planning Commission will be held both on Zoom and in person at the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, 128 Market Street, Stateline, NV. Pursuant to TRPA Rules of Procedure, 2.16 Teleconference/Video Conference Meetings and Participation, Commission members may appear in person or on Zoom. Members of the public may observe the meeting and submit comments in person at the above location or on Zoom. Details will be posted on the meeting materials webpage no later than one day before the day of the meeting with a link to Zoom. > Written Public Comment: Members of the public may email written public comments to ‘publiccomment@trpa.gov’. We encourage you to submit written comments (email, mail, or fax) in advance of the meeting. Written comments received by 4 p.m. the day before a scheduled public meeting may, as appropriate, be distributed and posted to the TRPA website before the meeting begins. Later submissions may be retained as part of the meeting record and may be posted or made available after the meeting as appropriate. Please include the meeting information and agenda item in the subject line. For general comments to representatives, include “General Comment” in the subject line. Verbal Public Comment: Public comments at the meeting should be as brief and concise as possible so that all who wish to participate may do so; testimony should not be repeated. The Chair of the Board shall have the discretion to set appropriate time allotments for individual speakers (usually 3 minutes for individuals and group representatives as well as for the total time allotted to oral public comment for a specific agenda item). No extra time for participants will be permitted by the ceding of time to others. In the interest of efficient meeting management, the Chairperson may exercise discretion to limit the duration of each public comment period. Public comment will be taken for each appropriate action item at the time the agenda item is heard and a general public comment period will be provided at the beginning and end of the meeting for all other comments including agendized informational items. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its regular meeting to be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 , the Advisory Planning Commission commencing at 9:30 a.m., at the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and Zoom, the Advisory Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on the following: 1) Discussion and possible recommendation for approval of proposed amendments to Section 37.5.2 (Additional Building Height for Public Service, Tourist Accommodation, and Certain Recreation Buildings) of the TRPA Code of Ordinances that would enable additional building height for marinas where the marina use is located entirely outside of the shoreland of a Shoreline Threshold Travel Route. (for possible action); 2) Discussion and possible recommendation for approval of amendments to remove Venice Drive East from the definition of “Major Arterial” in Chapter 90 of the TRPA Code of Ordinances (for possible action). 3) Discussion and possible recommendation for approval of amendments to Chapter 36 of the TRPA Code of Ordinances that would address stealthing for wireless telecommunications facilities and adopt standards for facilities that use plastic screening materials (for possible action).Julie W.
