NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Anderson will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at their regularly scheduled meeting at 5:30 P.M. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 1887 Howard Street, Third Floor, Anderson, CA 96007. Applicant: Zinco Holding LLC, 22717 Silverlode Rd., Palo Cedro, CA 96073 Location: The project site is located at the southeast corner of Gateway Dr. and Redbud Ln., approximately 1000 feet south of the intersection of Balls Ferry Rd. and Gateway Dr., Anderson, CA 96007, APN 201-910-068-000. Project Description: Rezone (RZ)26-02 and General Plan Amendment (GPA) 26-02: The applicant, Zinco Holding LLC, proposes a general plan amendment (GPA 26-02) and a Rezone (RZ 26-02) for a vacant, 3-acre parcel located at the southeast corner of Gateway Dr. and Redbud Ln., APN 201-910-068-000. The proposed rezone would amend the zone district from General Commercial (C-1) to Medium Density Residential (R-2), allowing a residential density of 20 residential units per acre. The proposed General Plan amendment would amend the General Plan Designation from Commercial (C) to Medium Density Residential (MDR). Environmental Determination: The City of Anderson finds that the proposed project, a General Plan Amendment and Rezone have been determined to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3), also known as the “general rule” exemption, CEQA exempts activities that can be seen with certainty to have no possibility for causing a significant effect on the environment. Persons interested in commenting on this issue should appear before the City Council at the above place and time to provide comment. If you are unable to attend the public hearing, you may submit written comments to the City of Anderson Planning Division, 1887 Howard Street, Anderson, CA 96007, or email planning@ci.anderson.ca.us. Written comments must be received by 5:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
