PUBLIC NOTICE – CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF BARSTOW NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Barstow will hold a public hearing to receive public comment and consider adoption of a User Fee Study and related fee schedule updates. DATE: Tuesday, May 5, 2026 TIME: 7:00 P.M. (or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard) PLACE: Barstow City Council Chambers 220 East Mountain View Street Barstow, California 92311 PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The City Council will consider adoption of an updated User Fee Study and corresponding fee schedules for various City services. The proposed updates are intended to ensure that fees charged for City services reasonably reflect the cost of providing those services, in accordance with applicable law. The study evaluates existing fees across multiple departments and may include adjustments to planning, building, engineering, parks and recreation, public safety, and administrative service fees. PUBLIC REVIEW: The staff report and User Fee Study will be available for review at City Hall, 220 East Mountain View Street, Barstow, California, and on the City’s website prior to the hearing date.
