NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Carlsbad Municipal Water District, or CMWD, Board of Directors will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 5 p.m. at the City Council Chambers, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, California 92008 to conduct a public hearing on the draft 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP).Those persons wishing to speak on this item are cordially invited to attend the public hearing. If you have any questions, please contact District Engineer Keri Martinez at 442-339-2722 or keri.martinez@carlsbadca.gov. This meeting can be viewed on the city’s cable channel or online at https://www.carlsbadca.gov/city-hall/meetings-agendas. In addition, written comments may be submitted to the City Council at or prior to the hearing via U.S. Mail to the attention of the Office of the City Clerk, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive, Carlsbad, CA 92008, or via email to clerk@carlsbadca.gov.The draft 2025 UWMP and draft WSCP are available for public review on the City of Carlsbad website at www.carlsbadca.gov. Any written questions or comments regarding the draft 2025 UWMP and draft WSCP must be received by the CMWD by the close of business on Monday, May 11, 2026, and should be directed to: Carlsbad Municipal Water District, 5950 El Camino Real, Carlsbad CA 92008, Attention: District Engineer Keri Martinez, or emailed to keri.martinez@carlsbadca.gov.Upon conclusion of the public hearing, the Board of Directors may revise, change, modify, adopt and/or adopt with conditions the draft 2025 UWMP and draft WSCP.
