Zone Text Amendment (ZCC) No. 00001-26
The Planning Commission of the City of Carson, California, will conduct a public hearing, at which time you may be present and be heard to consider a Zone Text Amendment for making a finding of CEQA guidelines Section 15061(B)(3) and approving various amendments to the text of the City’s zoning ordinance to establish express land use restrictions applicable to battery energy storage system (BESS) land uses.
The proposed project is exempt to the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines under Categorical Exemption Section 15061(B)(3) and will not have a significant effect on the environment.
The public may address the members of the Planning Commission on any matters within the jurisdiction of the Planning Commission or on any items on the agenda of the Planning Commission during the designated public comment period. If you challenge the City’s action on this matter in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning Commission, at or prior to, the public hearing.
